ISO thermal Treatment
Definition
It is an isothermal heat treatment process for machinability and minimizing deformation during the 2nd heat treatment by improving the band structure and inhibiting the precipitation of the bainite structure when steel is cooled down to a temperature below Ac₁ and kept at that temperature for some time after austenitizing steel.
Feature
It is commonly used in mass-production and requires fewer personnel due to easy operation through automation.
